Pumpkin Destruction Day at The Rock Ranch is Saturday

Did a pumpkin get you into a bad mood? When you painstakingly tried to carve a design on a pumpkin over the weekend, did it not work right?

Want to takeout your frustration on an innocent pumpkin?

Here's your chance.

Pumpkin Destruction Day is Saturday at the Rock Ranch.

You can drop a pumpkin from a 40-foot-high crane, use a pumpkin cannon, bowl with pumpkins or use a hammer, just to smash a pumpkin to smithereens.

Besides those methods, there will be a pumpkin bomber airplane and monster trucks crushing those orange gourds (and cars, too).

There will be another way to destroy a pumpkin -- a pumpkin pie-eating contest.

If you want a ride in a Monster Truck, tickets are $5. A hot air balloon tethered ride is $5-$10.

The pumpkins are fed to farm animals or composted.

The Rock Ranch is at 5020 Barnesville Highway, The Rock, Ga., and is open 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Tickets are $14.
